Bursaries for A Level Leavers KPMG Channel Islands Limited are awarding three bursaries each year to local students who have been accepted to their chosen university. We are looking for students with a range of skills and abilities and who possess ambition and motivation to study towards an accountancy qualification University Funds Students will be provided with £1,500 per annum to go towards the costs of books and other expenses. The bursary will be paid in three installments at the start of autumn, winter and spring terms for a maximum of three years. Work Experience Students will also receive two weeks paid work experience each year to take during their holidays where you will receive hands on experience in the day-to-day life as an audit assistant. Throughout this time, you will be given more responsibility and work face to face with the clients as a valuable addition to the team. Student Mentor In addition to your work experience, we will assign you with a mentor who will support you during your time at university and when you are in the office. Training Contract On completion of the student’s degree, they may be offered a full time training contract to study towards their accountancy qualification. Once qualified, those students will be able to take full advantage of working within a leading accountancy firm. To be considered for this scheme, students must achieve three A Level’s all graded at B or above (the equivalent of 300 UCAS Points). Only one of these grades may be achieved by the average of two AS Levels with each contributory grade in a different subject or from an AVCE.
